Appeal a moderation decision

If we removed something of yours, turned a submission down, or blocked your account and you think we got it wrong, tell us here. A moderator who did not make the original decision reads every appeal, and you get the answer by email either way.

What this is and is not

  • This works if you are banned. You do not need to be able to sign in — your email address (or username) and password are enough to prove the account is yours.
  • One open appeal at a time per thing. Sending the same appeal again does not move it up the queue; they are read in the order they arrive.
  • Not the right place for a legal takedown. Copyright, privacy and statutory complaints go to grievance, which has its own deadlines. Data-rights requests go to privacy rights.

Only used to confirm the account is yours — it does not sign you in if the account is blocked. Forgotten it? Reset it first; a reset still works on a banned account.

At least 40 characters. Say what happened and why you disagree — "this is unfair" gives the reviewer nothing to check, and it uses up your one open appeal on this.

Read the community guidelines first — most decisions come straight from them, and knowing which rule was applied makes an appeal much easier to answer.
